I hear we have a gig in a place called London. I'm going to be pulling that gold off the roadways like nobody's fucking business. I had to practice singing in the shower because I only found out that the diaphragm existed the other day when Jenny told me. I was so embarassed, it was like that time in Biology class when Miss something-or-other had to help me colour in the erectile tissue on an anatomical diagram, then held it up in front of the rest of the class and told them all I didn't even know what was inside my own pants. If I sing bad at you please remember it doesn't really matter, the chances are that I'm not getting paid for the show so you really should take up the issue with the venue manager, particularly if it is the lovely lady who runs the Marquee in Norwich who thinks putting bands on is a fantastic idea as long as they've packed up by 10.45 and nobody sneaks their own beer in. There will be hell to pay next time she catches us drinking tins of Kronenbourg that we've concealed in our bags. The same could be said of the Ferryboat but they have an inordinately sociable soundman who told me in no uncertain terms when I'd turned my guitar up so loud that they couldn't hear the referee's whistle at Carrow Road. I got embarassed (it's a common occurence) and told him that I'd done it on purpose but I WAS LYING. Anyway, come and see us in London because we'll probably rehearse for this show.
